Sewing Plans! My First "Official" Vlog
So the still image for this vlog is kinda hilarious. Also, I apparently I like to scratch my upper lip when I'm thinking about what to say next. Who knew? But I'm actually enjoying doing vlogs cause I can use my hands when I talk.
One note, the green denim is from Fabric.com, I forgot to add that part. I was also trying to say the red knit would go well with the gauze.
Patterns mentioned by me:
Lady Skater
Sewaholic Tofino, Thurlow, and Salspring dress.
Cake's Hummingbird
Colette's Hawthorn and Jasmine
By Hand London's Victoria Blazer
Ok, hope this wasn't terribly boring. Tell me what you have planned, please?!

Fun! And I ironed while watching so neat! You should make one and just pronounce all the fabric types. I can't tell you how long it took me to learn to say "voile" so that people knew what I meant. And I had no idea challis wasn't said like chall-iss...
ReplyDeleteI love this... I love how sewcialists "talked you into buying this!" as you pointed out several times... I think it shows that we are most definitely a group of enablers. (cause we get it!)
ReplyDeleteSuper plans. Love them all... And the "lounge around the house" Sewaholic pattern pants in plaid- love that idea... (steal). I probably won't be able to get the Victoria Blazer for a while (practicing self restraint)... but then again who knows. I do have the Anna dress pattern.
Listening to you was NOT boring. I am going to be a=making a vintage dress for Fall for Cotton... and finishing a bunch of unfinished stuff, that must be finished!... And more I am sure! ~Laurie
Y'all are totally a bunch of enablers. Also I'm thinking my Tofino's are going to be my fall for cotton. ;)
DeleteLoving the vlogs:) such a different accent to over my neck of the woods:)
ReplyDeletegah so many patterns!
You're in the ATL area too, right? I blame it on having a Mom from the "Iron Range" up in Northern Mid-west and years of tech support.
DeleteI know right? That's only a tiny bit of patterns that I own. I have been collecting them for ages, though.
ATL? :/
DeleteIm from Austraaaliaaaa.. Adelaide to be precise;)
I wish I had that many to swoon over haha
DERP. Sorry about that, I got you mixed up! Don't hate me. :(
DeleteI'm still plugging away at my current list, thank you very much. We really are a bunch of enablers, aren't we? The double gauze is lovely.
ReplyDeleteBut enough of this sewing stuff. I love your earrings!
We really are! But I have to be good for a while because we need a new car, so a good reason to concentrate on stash busting.
DeleteYay, you like my earrings! I love buying from indy artists at craft shows and I inherited my mother's jewelry when she passed away. So I have a stupidly large collection.
Ok, so I don't generally dig vlogs because I have a hard time finding private viewing space (and get family crap for wearing headphones) but this was super fun to listen to! Good luck with all those projects---sounds like my to-do list!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked it! I'm very much enjoying using the webcam.
DeleteI live in Atlanta too, well Newnan to be exact. This is the first year we haven't gone to Dragon Con since my husband and I realized it existed in 2007. We have an eight month old baby and there is no way I am doing Dragon Con with a child in the heat and all the people. I hope you have fun and I would love to have all those patterns. My pattern buying usually sticks to the big four 99 cent pattern sales at Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's, and Hancocks. I would love the Sewaholic Salspring dress and Cordova jacket and the Anna dress By Hand of London. I am envious. Can't wait to see the results.
